Newsletter - May

The annual stockholders meeting will be held at the clubhouse on Monday, May 19, at 7:00.   If you are planning to attend, please read all the minutes beforehand as they will not be read at the meeting. 

There will be a "Welcome Back" party at the clubhouse on Wednesday, May 14, starting at 5:30 pm.  Please bring an appetizer/dessert to share.  Come and greet your old friends and welcome the new members to our club.

The annual "Pink Shoe" tournament will be a one day event on Sunday, May 18, with a shot-gun start at 10:00.  Entry fee and signup information is available in the pro-shop.

A "Spring Sale" is now going on at Headwaters.  40% off on selected clothing and golf shoes, or chose a cap from the sale table at 50% off.

Keith and his crew have seeded the ladies tee box on #1.  The cart paths will be completed as soon as weather decides to cooperate with us. 

The women's golf leagues play on Tuesdays.  A 9-hole league tees off at 9:00 am and the 18-hole league at noon.  Both leagues charge an annual dues fee of $25.00.   A twilight 9-hole league tees off at 5:30 pm -- no dues are charged, but there is a $5.00 entry fee each week for the "game."  Call Headwaters or Kathie Kavolak (732-8831) for more information.

There is a signup sheet posted in the clubhouse for a work party to start cutting down dead trees and do some cleanup work.  Weather permitting, we will meet at the clubhouse on Tuesday, May 13, at 2:00 pm.

The adopt-a-hole list posted on the "For Members Only" page is being updated for 2008.   Please contact Lefty at lefty1@unitelc.com to confirm your participation in this worthwhile project.
